The agency welcomes donations of gift cards for Sunshine Program, which are given to families in crisis or during hospital stays; silent auction items for the 3.21 World Down Syndrome Awareness Day Celebration & Silent Auction; and diapers for the semi-annual Baby Showers.
Volunteer Opportunities:
The agency would love volunteers to assist with events, provide videography services, and help with public relations.

Description
DSAMT advocates at the local, state and national levels on issues that impact individuals with Down syndrome and their families. This includes educating DSAMT members about important legislative issues; regularly communicating with legislators; helping families share their stories with lawmakers to help affect change; participating in TN's Disability Day on the Hill; and educating self-advocates in the legislative advocacy process.

The First Call program connects parents of children with Down syndrome with the most up-to-date information, resources and a welcoming community to support them on their journey. DSAMT hopes to be the First Call a parent or grandparent makes when they need help related to Down syndrome.

Description
Next Chapter Book Club is a weekly book club meeting for people with Down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities and provides them the opportunity to read and learn to read, talk about books, and make friends in a fun, community setting.
Hours
Tuesday from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Target on White Bridge Road in the Starbucks Café
Eligibility
Any adult with Down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities.

No fee. Books provided by the Arc of Williamson County.
